Job Description

General Summary The plant PSM Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that the PSM program is compliant with all OSHA and EPA standards, by serving as the liaison between the Safety and the plant Refrigeration departments. By following the 14 steps of PSM, the PSM Coordinator will provide oversight and compliance to the processes. Principal Duties and Responsibilities 1. Ensures refrigeration system, PSM/RMP program and documentation are in compliance with EPA, OSHA and IIAR guidelines. 2. Oversee the Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) program which includes preparation activities for PHA, participating in PHA reviews and execution of PHA audit recommendations in a timely manner 3. Validate that annual visual inspections are done in a timely manner 4. Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and P&ID’s are maintained for all equipment in the system and that the documents are recertified annually 5. Create/verify/rewrite equipment specific LOTO procedures for all refrigeration equipment 6. Participate in new equipment installation and ensure all required documents are completed in regards to PSM processes 7. Coordinate incident investigations related to PSM processes and ensure follow up is completed on any recommendations 8. Participate in any OSHA or EPA audits of PSM/RMP for the plant 9. Coordinate the plant PSM training programs 10. Research and be familiar with regulatory requirements as needed 11. Interface with federal and state agencies (OSHA, EPA, State Environmental/Safety agencies, etc.) as required 12. Assist with outside contractor compliance and training for PSM related policies and procedures 13. Maintain compliance manuals as necessary 14. Actively participate in PSM related plant meetings 15. Ensure that current Mechanical Integrity PM’s are in compliance with manufacturer’s recommendations per IIAR and verify that PM’s are being performed in compliance with the schedule 16. Regular attendance and punctuality is required due to working with people, items and equipment that are at the facility. 17. All other duties as assigned
