Job Description
1. Key Purpose Statement – Position Outputs This position will be responsible for overseeing governmental compliance, maintenance and repair of our Warehouse ammonia refrigeration system. This position also supports our warehouse building maintenance department. · Responsible for the maintenance & repair all evaporators, condensers, compressors, vessels and pumps including overhauls and rebuilds. 2. Outputs (Goals) and Accountabilities The key outputs for the Warehouse Refrigeration Specialist are listed below. KEY OUTPUTS a. Responsible for the maintenance & repair all evaporators, condensers, compressors, vessels and pumps including overhauls and rebuilds. § Must keep accurate records of repairs and walk through inspections on entire refrigeration system. § Responsible for maintaining acceptable record keeping system to comply with EPA (including PSM and PHA compliance), OSHA, ANSI, and Homeland Security. § Responsible for the annual reporting of testing and inspection of A) Vibration Testing B) Oil Sample Analysis C) Monitoring Refrigeration Water Treatment D) Testing all Temp and Ammonia Sensors § Assist is other areas of facility maintenance as time allows or as is required. MANAGERIAL DUTIES · None 3. Competency Requirements a. Knowledge and Experience – The following are education and experience requirements for the Warehouse Refrigeration Specialist. · High School Graduate · Minimum of 2 years ammonia refrigeration experience · Must have a basic understanding of electrical control switches · An understanding of electrical wiring · Knowledge of basic plumbing · Ability to work a flexible schedule · Must be CIRO Certified or be willing to obtain CIRO Certification · Must have all hand tools to complete assigned work b.
