Job Description
Main Responsibilities: Documentation Ensuring that utilities documentation is current/accurate Assist in the development of utilities documentation as needed Review outsourced documentation for errors and ensure Plant Standards are followed Utilities related OPL development Maintenance/reliability of current systems. Troubleshooting and maintenance of utilities systems Basic troubleshooting and programming of controls systems The Utilities Mechanic is required to become an expert on utilities throughout the plant. Develop skills needed to effectively maintain and troubleshoot utility systems Research & development on new technology Energy Management Involved in utilities-related Why Why analysis Involved in utilities-related SM, AM, EM, BE (Breakdown Elimination) and FI teams Involved in production downtime planning Accountabilities: In this role, you will Control system changes (i.e. productivity enhancements, etc.) Steam system (i.e. chemical treatment, Boiler, condensate, piping, valves, inspections, etc.) Ammonia systems (i.e. PSM walkthrough, compressor overhauls, tower inspection/cleaning, oil pots, plate/frame gasket replacement & etc.) Air compressor (i.e. annual overhauls, filter changes, inspections, & etc.) Condition Monitoring (PdM-predictive maintenance) (i.e. oil analysis, ultrasonic, vibration analysis, and IR) Propane system (i.e. annual inspection) HVAC CM/PM/RM work orders Utility water systems (i.e. Reverse Osmosis, Kemco, Zee Weed Skid, etc.) Water Treatment (i.e. waste, etc.) Support plant and corporate projects. A Utility Mechanic may be assigned to projects. Design Review of Projects Project Feasibility Study Equipment Check-Out Involvement Start-Up and Check-Out Weekend and Holiday work
