Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent Developing foundation in principles of refrigeration Developing Knowledge of all components of process Safety Management Strong Computer Skills/proficient with all Microsoft office products Strong proficiency with Excel for reports/tracking documents Highly self motivated with a passion for learning and growth Analytical/Problem solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written/verbal Lift up to 50 Ibs Comfortable using scissor lifts and/or other aerial lifts to access equipment Exposure to extreme cold temperatures down to -30 degrees Comfortable in loud machine rooms requiring hearing protection. Ammonia PSM Training preferred 3+ years hands on Ammonia Refrigeration experience RESPONSIBILITIES This position will focus on the Process Safety Management (PSM) and code compliance of large-scale industrial refrigeration systems which use ammonia as the refrigerant. Work closely with Nicholas team members to perform inspections of our industrial ammonia refrigeration systems Assist with detailed refrigeration system inspections for mechanical integrity, safety and code compliance and write the associated reports Assist health, safety, and environmental personnel as well as maintenance and utilities managers to perform duties as mandated by their Process Safety Management programs (PSM) driven by OSHA/EPA regulations Write components of the PSM programs such as MOCs and various reports Assist with PHAs, compliance Audits and drawing mark ups Deliver written reports and interface with our customers as required Work to develop knowledge of industry codes and standards Support and collaborate with general contractors and refrigeration contractors throughout the Lifecyle of a project.
